Connect your Webflow site and Mevrik adds the Messenger widget to every page for you. You don't need to open the Designer. If you'd rather add the code yourself, see Install manually.
Time: about 2 minutes
Before you start
You need:
- A Webflow site and a Webflow account that can manage it.
- A Mevrik account with the Owner or Admin role. Other roles can see the Webflow settings but can't connect a site.
Connect your site
- In Mevrik, go to Settings → Mevrik Messenger → Install.
- Under One-click setup, click Webflow.
- Enter your site's address, for example
https://yoursite.webflow.ioor your custom domain, and click Connect. - You're taken to Webflow. Choose the site and authorise Mevrik.
- You're brought back to Mevrik and the dialog shows your site.
You can also connect from Settings → Mevrik Connect → Webflow → Connect. Both places use the same connection.
What Mevrik can access
When you authorise, Webflow grants Mevrik these permissions. The dialog lists them under Granted permissions:
- Read your Webflow user details
- Read and update your sites (needed to publish the change)
- Read and update your site's custom code (needed to add the widget script)
Check the script status
The dialog shows a status next to your site name:
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Active | The widget script is on your site and published. | Nothing. Open your site to see the launcher. |
| Not published | The script was added, but your site hasn't been published since. | Click Publish site. |
| Not injected / Inactive | The script isn't on your site. | Click Reinstall script. |
Confirm the widget is live
- Open your published site in a new browser tab. The Messenger launcher appears in the bottom-right corner.
- In Mevrik, on the Install tab, click Check now next to Installation status. It should change to Installed.
If you've added domains under Allowed domains, make sure your Webflow address is in the list, including the .webflow.io address if you test there. The widget only loads on listed domains. If the list is empty, it loads everywhere.
Install manually
Use this if you don't want to connect your Webflow account.
- In Mevrik, open the Webflow dialog, expand Install manually instead and copy the snippet.
- In the Webflow Designer, open Site settings → Custom code.
- Paste the snippet into the Before
</body>tag field. This adds it to every page. - Click Save, then Publish your site.
- Reload your published site. The launcher appears in the bottom-right corner.
Switch to a different site
Open the Webflow dialog, click Switch site, enter the other site's address and click Connect.
Disconnect
Open the Webflow dialog and click Disconnect, then confirm.
Troubleshooting
"Your Webflow authorisation was revoked"
Mevrik's access was removed in Webflow. Click Reconnect, or enter a different address to switch sites.
"Couldn't start the connection"
Check the address and try again.
The launcher doesn't appear
- Make sure the site has been published since the script was added (status Not published means it hasn't).
- On the free plan, check the
*.webflow.ioaddress, not your custom domain. - Check Allowed domains (see above).
